Our social kitchen features a snug lounge area at one end—perfect for those who want to stay close to the action (and the warmth of the log burner) while the cooking happens. The kitchen is well equipped so you don't have to worry about a thing. With four ovens in total, two dishwashers, and a large American fridge/freezer with ice maker.
Host unforgettable dinner parties in our dedicated dining room. With ample seating, at the large table it’s a bright, expansive space that truly shines in the summer. Simply slide back the bi-fold doors to invite the garden in and enjoy the breeze on warm evenings.
Originally a traditional farmhouse, Lapwing House has been elegantly transformed into a sophisticated yet warm self catering venue. Striking a perfect balance between grand communal areas and tucked-away corners, ensuring that while the group can gather easily, anyone seeking a moment of peace after a day of exploring can find their own quiet sanctuary.
Enjoy a charming seating area by a crackling log burner—the ultimate spot for a morning coffee or a glass of wine while the chef of the group gets to work. Beyond the kitchen, Lapwing House offers two additional lounge areas. Whether you’re relaxing in the snug off the dining room or gathering in the further additional lounge, every lounge is equipped with a flat-screen Freeview TV, ensuring entertainment is always within reach.

All the equipment can also be moved aside, providing an exceptional open space for activities such as yoga retreats (equipment can be moved upon request but the yoga equipment is not provided)
The Cow Shed is equipped with a kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities, dishwasher and Smeg fridge freezer. There are also WC's, and the entrance doubles up as a spacious boot room, perfect for storing muddy boots and wet coats.
