We had a wonderful stay! The cottage is very comfortable and cosy, immaculate, well equipped and in a great location. The wine and milk were a lovely touch and greatly appreciated. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, and easy to get in contact with. Overall, it was a relaxing stay in a beautiful location and we would love to come back again!

We arranged a large family gathering at Lapwings Barn, as we’re spread over the country I needed a house that would fit all my family and was central to everyone. This was the perfect venue! The views, the house, everything was stunning. They had everything you could need and the Tesco driver found us easily. We had to call maintenance as one of the toilets wasn’t working and he came out within an hour or 2. We arrived early so stopped in Ye Old Cheshire Cheese Inn, which was so friendly and a beautiful pub and literally a 5/10 minute drive up the road. We had about 30 people including 5 children and we had the best weekend. We would definitely return! And I would highly recommend this property and Peak Venues as well 5*

This was our 5th year at Lapwing Barn for another great family holiday. The inside and outside space work really well for us. We have given some feedback for a few improvements to keep the place cool so we are looking forward to our visit next year and especially the hot tub

We had an amazing time at Redhurst Barn with our large family, there were 17 of us ages ranging from 4 years to 71 years!

The house is beautiful with everything you could want, our children really enjoyed playing in the garden.

We had two lovely walks from there which we all enjoyed and the surrounding areas had plenty to see and do.

Twenty four adults and three children had a wonderful weekend break at Cliff House. There was plenty to do to suit all ages out and about and the facilities in the house were excellent. We celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary in the lovely dining room with our own chef courtesy of My Peak Events. Add to this the good weather and we really could not have asked for a better holiday

We had a wonderful stay in Ingle Cottage. It was a real home from home with all the comforts and facilities we could have needed. Situated in a quiet village, with a great local pub, it was a perfect base to reach many of parts of the Peak District.

This house is a great find, all rooms are beautifully presented! Lovely location with lots of on street parking (we had 3 cars). The host had provided some sourdough, chocolate and honey, which was a lovely touch! Would definitely recommend staying here! Great communication prior to arriving.

Excellent accommodation - comfortable, very well equipped and as described. The views and outside space were greatly appreciated by everyone in our group and the added facilities in the Cow Shed were a bonus.

We will be using Peak Venues again and hopefully will stay in Lapwing Barns.

Very comfortable stay, lovely little village with lots of attractions within a fairly short drive. Recommend “The Crispin pub” at the top of the village which was very welcoming and had great food. We had a small dog with us which was a shame not to have a garden but was out majority of the day and found a nice recreational grounds behind the cottage for a morning dog walk. Only on street parking but managed to park outside the cottage 90% of the time. Shower was very nice temperature and had lots of power which was great after being out and about all day. A couple of small issues on our stay such as the fridge freezer packing up and also the outside tap deciding to burst, but all was dealt with and didn’t cause any major problems. Luckily the host had a spare fridge in the garage we swapped over and a plumber came out to cap off the burst tap. We would recommend some fans in the bedrooms and maybe some summer sheets. Luckily we bought our own but worth providing.

Absolutely beautiful location and a perfect cottage for our young family. Easy drive to surrounding towns but just as enjoyable exploring charming Chelmorton and having a meal at the Church Inn.

Fantastic stay!! The location is amazing right in the centre of Bakewell but somehow still feels really private in a small cul de sac with few houses and really quiet. Would absolutely recommend !

What a truly stunning venue which was large enough for our whole family to stay in. Location is gorgeous and there are towns and amenities close by. We ventured to the local pub too and the people there were very friendly. Highly recommend the property as there was plenty of seating and equipment and spaces for all out activities. We also had a barbecue and especially enjoyed seeing the chickens roaming around the garden. Thanks for accommodating us,

Beautiful location and spotlessly clean barn, everything had been thought of and the layout works really well for mixed generations, our grandson was unwell one night and new clean bedding bought the next day, communication was brilliant. Just one side note the upstairs floor is very creaky for anyone that like to sleep in longer downstairs! Overall faultless.

We had a lovely stay, the cottage was very comfortable and beautifully equipped, would love to come back! The local pub was lovely too!

Row-Win cottage is perfectly situated within ery easy walking distance to the centre of Bakewell. It is exceptionally clean and very much suited 3 x couples staying for a long weekend. Thank you Helen & Peak Venues for a fabulous weekend.

We enjoyed our extended family gathering at Dale House. The house itself is situated on the edge of Litton village and is surrounded by glorious countryside. We loved walking from the house into nearby fields and to Tideswell Dale. The rooms are well proportioned and our party of 29 slept comfortably on the excellent beds. I was impressed by the bed linen and the firmness of the beds. Some rooms had bunk beds and the children loved these. The kitchen had everything we needed for a long weekend. We also prepared a bbq one evening and loved the dedicated bbq space in the back garden. Overall the house was ideal for our needs and we were particularly impressed with the cleanliness and standard of equipment within the house, when compared to other venues we have used in the past. One thing to note is that there are other homes nearby so you must be careful about noise, especially in the evenings. Perhaps the owners might want to invest in some acoustic panels in social spaces such as the dining room. This would help absorb sound and improve ambience.

Good morning, just a quick message to say thank you for a wonderful stay at your property. It was a surprise getaway for my husband's birthday and it was perfect from start to finish. The property is beautiful and spacious, we were all really impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was- there were so many utensils, pots and pans making it so easy to cook for a large group. Thank you for allowing us to check in early and always responding quickly. We are already planning our next stay!

Fabulous house & location, especially for a large group (we were 10), who were walking from Bakewell Showground & eating at the Rutland Arms. So many pubs & shops within walking distance, the cars didn’t move the whole time we were there. Cute little garden, with enough furniture to seat us all. Thanks for a lovely weekend

A great base for exploring the Peak district. Not far from Castleton and Edale. Hugh Cottage was beautifully presented with everything you might need.

Great stay in the peaks, perfect spot for Bakewell and Chatsworth house only 15minutes away. Lovely local pub within walking distance- The Royal Oak. The house itself is perfect, cosy is the word as it’s not huge but plenty of space! The garden out the back was perfect for the children and a bbq. Very well equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need, didn’t miss a thing.

Lovely stay at Church View the last couple of days. The location was beautiful and the house itself was amazing. Had everything we needed for our stay and we couldn’t have asked for anything extra. Response time when I had a question was second to none and couldn’t fault anything. Really lovely to stay somewhere which felt like home away from home. Thank you for having us.

We thought the house was great. The beds were very comfortable and quite big and the house had everything you could need. There was lots of space for up to 6 people. It is very pretty from the outside and nicely furnished and decorated inside. The house is only 5 minutes walk from the town including the big Coop in Bakewell as well as shops and places to eat. It’s extremely quiet. We were a few minutes walk from the slow EV chargers so left the car to charge overnight. It is 1.6 miles to the nearest parkrun - so if you like parkrun that is a big plus. We had several beautiful walks directly from the accommodation.

Lovely cottage in a friendly village. Well located for walks, cycle rides and visits to Buxton, Bakewell and Castleton.

Fantastic location for visiting local places and walks. Clean, comfortable and a relaxing place to return to after a long days walking! Sofa was very comfortable and good WiFi signal to keep the kids happy in the evening! Would certainly use again for our next trip to the peaks!

We had both Rowdale barns and farmhouse as rooms for guest at our wedding nearby. The place is just stunning! The setting in the valley right next to the monsal trial is just beautiful, the gardens are beautifully kept..the barns and house are superb, well stocked and really well kept!

This was our second year here. It's the first time we've returned to the same place. It was ideal for our needs. Everything we needed was there. It's in the countryside but near to a village which has a local shop which is handy for the things you've forgotten. Thoroughly recommend it.

We had a family holiday and stayed in the three accommodations at the Star, great house for large groups, especially at meal times. Although there is plenty room for families, not enough entertainment for children (toys). We were very lucky with the weather so the children were outside all the time. The garden is big enough. A great location for trips out. Great pub 2 mins away.

Beautiful house, immaculate, well presented, every room had its own on suite, fixtures & fittings superior standard. Location brilliant with good access to the A6 for getting around. Contact with Marie regarding any queries at Priestcliffe House was dealt with speedily & courteously.

The venue was great for a large group with young children. The house itself was spotless and had everything we could need. Given it sleeps so many it would benefit greatly from having a much larger fridge and freezer, particularly for those staying during the warmer summers months. Overall our stay was great and I would recommend it to others

The cottage is really well situated in Ashford-in-the-Water, with corner shop, two pubs and cafe / tea rooms all within a short walk. The cottage is well equipped, a cosy relaxing decor and has off road parking.

Lovely cosy cottage, extremely clean and well equipped in a great location. Easy to find and get in and the complimentary coffee pods, milk and wine was a generous touch. Parking in Bakewell, even with the permit provided, does not guarantee a space near the cottage which was the only downside.

Great central location near lots of places to explore. We enjoyed walking the Monsal trail and around Castleton. Quite location. Comfortable beds and cosy feel. Had dinner at The Crispin, very friendly.

Our second stay at this cottage and we are so glad we came back! The cottage is very cosy, decorated nicely, comfortable and well equipped for two people. The welcome basket is the best of any holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in! Our dog loved the large garden. Surrounded by stunning countryside, close to local towns and attractions and the village pub is well worth a visit.

Lovely place to stay, location worked really well. views were great! We walked to the local pub which was fab and loved visiting Buxton and Bakewell. The upside down home worked well for us, the big kitchen dining, lounge was great for meals and we enjoyed using the bbq too. Even when it was quite busy over the weekend with all the other properties booked out it still felt quiet and peaceful. The games room is a nice addition

Hugh Cottage is a great house in a fab location for Castleton, Hope and Edale. The village has plenty of amenities including walkable pubs and the accommodation is comfortable and well appointed.

We were a group of six friends and we had a fabulous weekend at Curbar. The cottage was perfect for our group; cosy, spotlessly clean and well-equipped. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed a lovely first evening having wine and nibbles outside. When the weather wasn’t so good, the kitchen/living room had room for us all to spend time comfortably. The village and local area are beautiful with loads of great walking routes close by and it’s just a short drive to Chatsworth. Marita was a brilliant host, providing lots of information and answering any questions. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to visit again.

Cottage was very comfortable for a 3 generation holiday. Great walks in the area enjoyed visiting Chatsworth, Alton Towers and the Emma Bridgwater factory. So much to do thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Lovely place for a family reunion with young children. Very nice and helpful hosts. Would hope to stay again sometime. Ashover is also a lovely village with cafés and three pubs that do food. in particular we liked Crispin’s and the Post Office café. Not to forget the fresh meat and pork pies at the village store.

A lovely place to stay, the bath tub was cool to have. Kitchen device easy to use and everything was smooth… but the views were soo nice and the house is located near amazing spots for views and exploring.

I just wanted to thank Peak Venues for the wonderful service – everything exceeded our expectations, and we truly had a great stay. I’ll definitely recommend Peak Venues to my friends and family. If I may offer one small suggestion: it would be even better if the check-out time were extended to 11am instead of 10am, as it allows for a more relaxed departure, especially for families. Thanks again for everything!

Immaculate accommodation, A real home from home. Conveniently located. A cosy space, with very comfortable beds.

We had a lovely stay at Row-Win. The house is immaculate, the bedrooms are a good size, the beds are very comfortable, there is plenty of room downstairs and the kitchen is well stocked. We had a great time there and would thoroughly recommend it

We have had a wonderful stay in Ingle Cottage . A home from home with all the comforts we could need. It was a great central base for us to visit all of our favourite places and we have enjoyed our time here very much. Thank you!

Swallow Barn is an excellent venue for a family get-together. There were nine people altogether - three generations ranging from 11 years to 81 from across the country! The Barn is a great size with masses of space downstairs to socialise but equally with enough space to escape for a bit. The bedrooms were all well equipped although the last one (5) is small with no storage so although there is a double bed, I suggest it would be better for a single person or child. 

Monyash is also a lovely village with walks from the door - The Bulls Head is great for an evening meal and the Old Smithy Tearooms next door is very good as well. A very good family get together - we look forward to another in the future.

We were amazed by the cottage- it’s a lovely, super cosy accommodation, perfect for a relaxing break from the city. It was very well equipped, with nothing missing. Everything was clean, tidy, and charmingly decorated. All the instructions were clear and provided upon arrival. We truly loved our time there and had a fantastic stay. Would 100% recommend! :)

Lapwing Barns was a lovely place to stay for our annual family gathering. The view is the best we've had from any of the large properties we've stayed in. We could all eat together inside and outside which is so important and not always possible in some large properties. Beds were comfy and it's great to have plenty of bathrooms. The house is very well presented and equipped - it's slightly quirky with the different entrances and staircases which the little ones loved to explore. It also has the bonus of a large games room. We would definitely use it again. Thank you

Easy to walk to shops, pubs, restaurants, markets Great parking (a little tricky to find initially, it would have helped if we had read the directions more carefully as the owners anticipated this) and this meant we could set out across the Peak District really easily We found a spotless, incredibly well equipped house, with everything we could need, great shower and the comfiest beds We had a wonderful week, thank you

Shippon barn is a lovely property, in a great location to explore.

Peak Venues were a delight to deal with - both in advance of the stay, during (little requests were dealt with brilliantly) and afterwards. The property itself was absolutely spot on for our group of 29. Couldn't have had a better venue for a gathering of friends. Would highly recommend!

The perfect venue to host a 70th birthday celebration. A great house with 2 separate sleeping zones for the older and younger generations. One of the best equipped places we’ve stayed at to cook and dine. Lovely garden area. Clean, modern and comfortable. Easily walkable into Bakewell yet very quiet. Highly recommend.

Excellent accommodation for our family holiday..16 of us in total. Two dishwashers worked well as we eat in alot. The whole set up is very well thought through and Paul, the owner, and his team are superb hosts.

Dale house is a fabulous destination for a big group gathering. Spacious, comfy rooms - plenty of ensuite bathrooms and large dining area. Also well placed for the Monsal Trail, Chatsworth House, visiting Bakewell and Buxton. The games room was a bonus for the teenagers.

Such a beautiful house for our very large family of 26! It’s in a lovely quiet location that’s in walking distance of a couple of nice pubs and restaurants. All the rooms are nicely decorated and it’s so clean and tidy. The host is great and responds to all questions so quickly.

We would highly recommend Rowdale Barns as a venue for a family/friends gathering. The location, with access to the Monsal Trail, was perfect, the quality and cleanliness of the properties was excellent, and the service was efficient and friendly.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful village. The house had everything we needed and a lovely welcome pack. Plenty of cutlery and crockery (not always the case!) and it was useful to have the 2 fridges. The house was spotlessly clean. You could easily walk to the 2 country pubs in the village - both of which served food. There are beautiful walks all around. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

 Shippon Barn is a beautiful property in a very pretty village. The kitchen is very well equipped, the rooms are spacious and stylish with comfortable beds and lovely linens.
The village has two excellent pubs, a village store and milk/ eggs across the road direct from the farm!  Nice choice of walks nearby for a quick dog walk or a longer trail, depending on what you want.  Chatsworth is very nearby with the best farm shop I’ve ever seen 😃 Our first visit to the Peak District but definitely will return.

Very clean and well appointed holiday home. Lots of thought and care had gone into setting the place up for visitors (milk and wine in the fridge, fresh flowers, kitchen essentials provided etc.). Very near to the centre of Bakewell (only a few minutes walk along the Mill Stream to get into town) but quiet location. Parking permit provided but sometimes a challenge to get a space in the street outside but other nearby options available for Resident Permit spots (try Castle Street a short walk away down the Mill Stream). Very enjoyable stay.

The cottage is in a very quiet village, making it perfect for anyone looking to spend a few days away from the hustle, bustle, and pollution of city life. You can spend your days walking through the vast green spaces, enjoying nature and the fresh air. The cottage was equipped with everything our family needed, and the kitchen had all the utensils you'd expect for preparing your daily meals. I asked the host for an early check-in, which they were happy to accommodate, but I didn't end up using it as I arrived after 4 PM. Communication with the host was easy and quick. The neighbor in the adjoining cottage was very friendly and gave me some great tips about nearby places to visit. Overall, I highly recommend staying in this cottage. If I decide to visit the area again, this place will definitely be at the top of my list.

Wonderful Historic Cottage in the Heart of Bakewell! We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful, historic cottage. It’s stylishly decorated and well equipped with a washer-dryer, dishwasher, coffee machine, and full kitchen. A lovely welcome treat from the hosts was waiting for us — such a kind touch! Bakewell is charming and full of character, a great base for exploring the area. Aldi is nearby for larger shopping trips. We always found a parking spot outside the cottage with the permit. Our two other cars were parked across Holme Bridge (towards Holme Hall) or along Holme Lane. It’s easy to spot where others park, and walking back only takes a few minutes. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Jill and Glen — such friendly people. Thank you so much! Our family had a wonderful time and would love to return.

We had the most wonderful stay. The house was gorgeous and the views were spectacular. We stayed for my wedding and all the guests were pleased as all the rooms were lovely. A delightful cottage in a secluded location in the heart of Bakewell.

Rose Cottage is a lovely place to stay. It is very well equipped and totally ideal if you are bringing a pet, due to the large secure gardens. I would highly recommend!

Brilliant hosts. The thoughtful and very much appreciated hamper on arrival was a lovely touch. Very dog friendly with towels and poop bags available should you need them. The cottage itself is very well stocked with every utensil you would need to cook should you want to. Lovely furnishings and a super comfy bed. Wonderful quiet village with a lovely friendly and vibrant local pub - please do use this at least once during your stay, you won’t be disappointed. The house is so comfortable, great sofas, massive bed, comfy pillows. Well equipped kitchen and dog friendly too. Lovely sun trap garden. We will most definitely be back!

Great for a stay with a group - lots of space/cutlery/cooking equipment etc and felt very private. Great views from balcony. Was very hot during our stay, no A/C or fans but this was communicated prior to arrival so could bring our own.

Beautiful home in brilliant location all helped by the glorious weather we experienced. Kitchen was well stocked and house very clean and comfortable.

Coming back for our second stay at Ingle Cottage felt like home away from home. Ingle Cottage is spacious, comfortable and well laid out. Kitchen is well equipped and easy to cook in. Beds are comfy. The hosts are friendly and responsive. Both cottage and guests feel well cared for.

Great spot!! We were right in the Peak District, easy to get to the Monsal trail with lovely pubs nearby as well as very easy to get to the local times. The house was perfect for us, very clean and had everything we needed. Good temperature, nice dining table and good bedrooms! The shower was also great which isn’t always the case in older cottages. No outdoor space but wasn’t needed with pubs and parks in walking distance!

The property was great and we loved our stay.  Also, it was fine for us but the pictures of the garden are a little misleading as they give the impression of a large space.

We had a wonderful Family holiday at Rose Cottage. The garden is a lovely space and great for our two young boys to run about. The cottage itself is cosy and very well equipped. Chelmorton is a peaceful and quiet village near to Buxton and Bakewell. Wonderful surrounding countryside. There are of things to do in the area, rain or shine. We went for country walks, hired bikes and cycled the Monsal Trail, explored some caves at Castleton and went on the cablecar at Heights of Abraham. Would thoroughly recommend.

Cottage is absolutely beautifully decorated and immaculately clean on arrival, it is located in a lovely neighbourhood and is so well situated to be able to explore the Peak District. Fantastic venue and would definitely recommend this as a place to stay!

First thing: River Cottage is the most amazing place you could hold a party for friends or family. It's a beautiful place to be - characterful, lovely gardens, tons of space to stretch out. We had 14 people and it never felt more than nicely full. The location is basically one of my favorite places in the world. Ashford is a lovely village with top-class pubs and you're in the middle of some of the best easy walking in the country.

Secondly: The Peak Venues team were really great to work with - the friendly and professional partners I wanted in planning our big event. The team did everything that they could to make things easy: I think I was fairly high-maintenance! They answered my questions about the property, were clear and helpful with making the booking and payments, set up the house perfectly (beds, down/non-down bedding etc) and then closed out with grace, returning the security deposit in days. Highly recommended.

The house was really clean and well equipped, really nicely decorated and lots of food communal space.  I'd recommend checking the number of beds before booking as most of my party were not keen on a bunk bed for the weekend!

A beautiful cottage in a lovely small quiet village. Only a short drive to Matlock too. The air b n b really has everything you need, we found parking on the road no problem, and the shared access through the garden didn’t cause a problem either! It was a wonderful stay!

What a superb cottage. It was perfectly sized for our family of four and really well located for a walk into Bakewell. The host was easily accessible upon arrival. The travel cot hasn’t been left out as requested but within half an hour this was delivered to us. A pint of milk was left in the fridge which was a lovely touch as we hadn’t arrived until the evening. We would definitely stay again.

Hugh Cottage was a perfect place to stay for our hiking trip to the Peak district. The place is exactly as described in the listing. Arrival instructions were clear. The indoors were clean. The kitchen is well equipped. There is even a washing machine + dryer available which can come in very handy. Situated in Bradwell, Hugh Cottage is a great base for hiking in the Peak District - Mam Tor, Win Hill, the Limestone way, all are within reach, no car or even public transport (although available) necessary. We would happily stay at Hugh Cottage again.

A pretty perfect weekend in very well appointed comfort. We walked from the doorstep as the information said we could, but would advise others intending to do the same to have large scale ordnance survey maps as some paths were not easy to follow and signposts or waymarks are limited.

We just wanted to say then how fantastic our stay was. As you know, we got married at Chesterfield Town Hall on Saturday morning and came back to the house to celebrate. We were blessed with good weather which meant we barely went into the drawing and garden rooms, instead spending most of the time outside in the huge garden, taking in those amazing views. The house is just stunning, with such beautiful rooms and so much space for everyone to relax in and mix. All of our guests were so impressed with it - so much so you may get some future bookings! We had food provided by Scoff on Saturday lunchtime, which I can't recommend highly enough and all in all it far exceeded our expectations. It was a wonderful weekend in a very special house, so thank you all.

What a fantastic place to stay for a group gathering. The accommodation was beautifully presented throughout. It was spotlessly clean and had a very luxurious feel. It is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The games room and outdoor space are wonderful for both kids and adults. We wish we could have stayed longer and we are planning to return. We 100% recommend Sydnope Hill Farm 😊

Shippon Barn is set in the very picturesque Great Longstone. The house is really lovely, very well appointed with everything you could think of and the living area is incredibly spacious. There is a lovely secure garden and a pub about a 2 minute walk, what else could you ask for! Just wish we had stayed longer. Thanks again for having us!

Booked for a family birthday. Lovely house and had 14 sat around the huge kitchen table as expected. Loads of plates, cutlery etc , nice garden area.

Our large family has stayed at two of Peak Venues properties. We were absolutely delighted with both. Everything we needed was available and spotlessly clean. Our ages ranged from 80+ to eighteen months and both properties suited us all.  The staff went out of their way to make sure we had great weekends.  We will certainly use Peak Venues again.

Excellent location for chatsworth, haddon hall Monsal trail, Bakewell etc. Cottage as described and close to local pub. Unfortunately the white lion closed down the weekend before we arrived but the crispin serves lovely food and has a good selection of beers. Only niggle I could find and it is only a minor one was the icebox to the fridge had no door on it and it was completely iced up making it unusable and not leaving much room on the top shelf due to the ice buildup. I’m already thinking about returning with the hubby to explore the area further

We felt at home as soon as we arrived at Edge Cottage. The downstairs space is lovely, with a very well equipped kitchen, bar stools and a dining table & chairs, comfy sofa & armchairs. The garden is beautiful, peaceful,with a choice of seating. We were lucky to have great weather so were able to sit out most days. There was sun back and front! The bedrooms are spacious with lots of hanging & drawer space & the shower was great. We had some great walks, highly recommend Curbar Edge...walkable from the cottage if you like a climb, but we drove up to the car park! Also the walk from Baslow through Chatsworth Estate. Highly recommend The Prince of Wales in Baslow and The Chequers in Froggatt for food. Marita gave us lots of information before check in and was easily contactable.

We stayed at The Green Man to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday and I can't fault anything. The customer service before, during and after was exceptional.  The pub was immaculate when we arrived and so well equipped.  There was more than enough space for all 30 of us and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at another Peak Venues property and would highly recommend The Green Man.

Absolutely fantastic accommodation, all the amenities were perfect for our corporate event particularly the meeting room at Lapwing, we hired both Lapwing and Oak Tree and used Oak Tree for its kitchen and outdoor dining spaces and Lapwing for facilitating a workshop and innovation session. Both properties were in immaculate condition and perfectly served our purpose, we will be booking again next year

Wow, what a house and location! We absolutely loved our stay in the Peak District and this farm house was a fantastic base. The house is beautifully decorated and well equipped for large families. Large living space and kitchen with everything you need on hand. Comfy beds and lots of bathrooms which helps when there are 8 of you! Location is great and easy access to the Monsal trail out the back of the property. Communication throughout was excellent. Couldn’t recommend this place more, one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed in.

We had a lovely weekend stay at The Barns. The property is gorgeous and the surrounding area is lovely to walk around, with some lovely local pubs and restaurants

Really nice cottage. We’d booked for 8 people. The owner Hannah was very good at texting me. Great venue, we cooked a paella in the garden Friday; we went to the Royal Oak in Hurdlow Saturday for a good meal. Saturday half the family did some alpaca walking while the rest of us went to a gin experience at Forest Gin just outside Buxton. Outstanding location and very well maintained property. We also had time for a couple of drinks in the bustling local pub, The Bulls Head 5 minutes walk. Great family weekend away.

Ideal venue for us as 2 couples looking for a place to base ourselves for visiting and walking, good communication and great support from the team. Good local facilities and pubs in a very friendly neighbourhood

Had a lovely stay. The property was very clean and had all the essentials. Being right in town was so handy for popping out to a cafe or for dinner. Would certainly book again!

The flexibility of accommodation at Hurdlow Grange gave us the ideal base for a family meet up. The properties are very comfortable and very well equipped and everything worked efficiently.  Having space to gather made it very easy to eat and relax together. Having walks on the doorstep was important as there were dogs in our group and we took advantage of the local trails. We would definitely return and would also highly recommend.

We had a family celebration of 16 adults and all had a great time. Very quiet, peaceful place with all the facilities you need in a well thought-out design. Bar room was used every night and was away from the main bedrooms Plenty of space for everyone and plenty of plates, cups, glasses etc - which you often don't get!

This was a fabulous venue, an ideal place for a big family get together. There was everything you would need for doing your own catering.

The house exceeded our expectations. We have been using holiday lets in the UK, Denmark, Germany and Italy for a number of years and Top Shippon is probably the best cottage that we have ever found. The house is perfect and Great Longstone is an excellent base for touring the main sights and locations in the Peak District. We definitely plan to visit again.

Gorgeous place in a perfect location. House was easy to find and well kept. Pint of milk in the fridge, tea and coffee well stocked, plenty of glasses and utensils and a beautiful card and bottle from the host as a welcome and congratulations on getting married. Bedrooms were clean, airy and comfy beds. Bathroom was clean, plenty of towels, hot shower and big bath. Can’t wait to return when it’s cold to enjoy the log burner.

We had the most fabulous time for dad's 80th birthday. It was absolutely perfect and everything we could have hoped for.  None of us wanted to leave and will definitely do it again.

 We stayed for a stag do in the peaks and the Farmhouse at Benty Grange was a perfect base for the weekend. The location is beautiful and the property is really stunning. Incredibly well equipped with everything that might be needed and we had a fantastic time making use of the facilities, including BBQ and games room. Peak venues communication and recommendations were great and we tried a variety of great local pubs and walks. Would thoroughly recommend to any large groups staying in the peaks

We enjoyed our short break in the Peak District. This was a comfortable accommodation, where we could relax after a busy day of activity.

Our second stay at Rose Cottage. We really appreciate it is genuinely pet friendly and the enclosed garden is great for dogs. Also it’s really helpful that household essentials are included eg toilet roll, toiletries, washing up liquid, olive oil etc. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and has an air fryer. No dishwasher unfortunately. The main bed is large and very comfortable. Chelmorton has a great pub serving food, a playground and lots of walks directly from Rose Cottage and is a good base from which to explore the Peak District.

We have had a lovely stay this weekend at Buxton Lodge. I’d would like to thank all the team at Peak Venues for making it such a great stay.  We had everything we could need.

Beautiful cottage, felt so at home. The garden in particular was stunning. Beds were comfortable and the whole place was so clean and well equiped. The location is beautiful but do have to drive to a few things. We did the Curbar walk which is walkable from the cottage and is a lovely walk. We drove to Kinder Scout, Roaches, Luds Church, Hen Cloud and Millers Dale. Our dog loved the cottage, thank you so much we will be back again

Its been one of the best cottages for quality furnishings and kitchen /bathroom facilities.  We have stayed in dozens over the years so please accept our thanks and praise.

Loved every minute of our stay. The recommendation for the walk was brilliant. Local pub when we arrived had Veuve Champagne exceeding my expectations as it’s my favourite. FYI we had a superb meal at Loveage in Bakewell on the Saturday evening. The accommodation was lovely. Comfortable and great size for the 8 of us. It is a beautiful barn.

Stayed at Crewe and Harpur for my hen party, 3 nights 35 of us. It was the best weekend we have ever hard, the venue was amazing! Perfect for this kind of weekend or a family weekend away. 

The house was absolutely beautiful the views and all the rooms were spacious and suited a large number of people. 

We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful and peaceful farm retreat. The property offered so much space to relax and unwind, and the morning and evening views of the valley were absolutely stunning. One of the unexpected highlights was watching the cows on the nearby farm, they provided plenty of entertainment and added to the charm of the countryside experience. The host was faultless - welcoming, responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish - website was super helpful. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, scenic getaway!

Lovely house in a wonderful location.

We had a fantastic time. The property is better in reality that the pictures indicate. We were 11 in our party aged 16 to 90. There are so many mugs glasses plates etc that we never had to worry. The property is an easy walk into Buxton and the Pavilion Gardens. We were fortunate to see a fantastic play at the Opera House. The house allowed all of us to sit comfortably in the lounge and up at the amazing kitchen table. The number of toilets and bathrooms meant everyone was well catered for. Thank you this was a great stay for us.

Incredible place to stay. Lots of space indoors and outside, surrounded by picturesque countryside. Perfect for a weekend meet up with friends, with lots of nice walks, places to visit and beautiful walks nearby. Highly recommend.

We hired Hugh Cottage for a weekend, convenient for the Peaks, short drive from Hope and Castleton. The cottage is extremely looked after, the property is immaculate, Kitchen has everything you need should you use this, the bathroom has a good shower and washbasin, the bedrooms are a good size with clean bedroom linen and plenty of soft clean towels. Plenty of storage in the kitchen for food and has a fridge, in the utility there is a 2nd larger fridge freezer and also dishwasher. Outside there is garden furniture which you could sit in the Sun (only if it shines and would be a heat trap) Thankyou we had a great weekend and Hugh Cottage is extremely homely !

So pleased to have found this property after our original booking (with another host) was cancelled at the last minute. Buxton turned out to be a much better choice, with a better room layout for our needs, and within walking distance of all the local amenities and attractions. The house was immaculately presented, and perfect for our short family stay in the area. Communication with the host was seamless and prompt. Thank you very much for a stress-free stay.

Lovely renovated Barns in fantastic location served our enlarged family well for family occasion. It is worth pointing out that access is down a narrow drive and you need to have your wits about you in a standard SUV.

Great Longstone is a lovely peaceful village within walking distance of pubs, the local shop and the Monsal Trail. The cottage was comfortable and perfect for our stay.

We had the best time! Having the long table in the main building was so great to all get together for dinner at. So close to Bakewell too. We ended up staying in and cooking rather than going out as it was so lovely. Would 100% recommend A+++

Great cottage in a lovey, peaceful village. The cottage was as described, and good size for myself, husband and our dog. Lots of great walking routes from the village, and a great pub opposite where we ate a couple of times. We really enjoyed our stay!

Good location, rural but close enough to local amenities ! Kitchen diner is on the small side! There was only 3 adults and 1 child in our party and we were tripping over each other ! I would not stay here with 6 adults !

We had a group of 10 for a stag weekend - everyone was raving about how nice River Cottage was and it was really spacious. Many of the guests were mentioning booking it for a big family holiday in the future. The place was excellently equipped and suited us down to the ground as we were a fair distance away from any neighbours. Two pubs, five minutes walk away was also a massive bonus. Really enjoyed our stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is small but beautifully maintained with lots of nice little touches thrown in. The bath towels were a little on the small side but it had everything we needed. Bradwell is a small community with only a few amenities but it didn't detract from our stay or experience. I communicated with the owners a couple of times who were helpful and quick to respond. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to base themselves in the Peak District.

Our stay at Lapwing Barns was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to help us cook for 20 people. The living spaces allowed us to be easily sit and chat without being on top of one another. The bedrooms were allowed us immaculately clean as were the bathrooms. Outside seating and eating was easily covered and the views were spectacular

We had a fantastic family stay at Star House. The House and cottages themselves were beautiful and very well stocked for all of our needs and beyond. The garden and BBQ area worked really well and there is ample parking. Location great - very quiet and peaceful, and decent local pub! The comms from the Peak Venues team was also great and very responsive. Thank you!

The property was easy to find and easy to access, with prompt communication from Jill when needed. The accommodation is cosy, with fixtures and fittings to a high standard, and comfy sofas and beds. As highlighted in the details, there were some challenging “cottagey” quirks – galley kitchen with 6 adults, small downstairs bedroom, and the headroom in both bathrooms – but not enough to spoil our enjoyment of the property. The location is very convenient for town (and Thornbridge Brewery and the Monsal Trail), though this does mean that parking is at a premium (we used the town centre car park which is a short walk away). Overall, we had a wonderful time in Bakewell and would recommend Rivermeade.

Had a wonderful weekend, catching up with good friends. There was Nine of us and Lily the dog. The accommodation was spacious,well equipped and easily accommodated us all. The village was lovely with three pubs in easy walking distance. What more could you ask for. Highly recommended.

The house was fabulous, very tastefully decorated and in a fantastic location to the centre. Be mindful that there is no downstairs toilet if anyone has mobility issues.

We had a very nice time in Rose Cottage. Modern interior in an old, renovated cottage (tall people need to mind their head when walking through low doorways). Beautiful gardens. We appreciated the welcome hamper and the bowls, treats and towels for our dog. There was a small issue during our stay, but the owner responded quickly and did everything to solve it. We definitely recommend Rose Cottage.

We had such a brilliant time at Manifold Barns, what a fantastic place to stay, thank you. Everybody said they would love to come back for weekends with family and friends, it was super.

Wow! What an incredible place to stay. Everything was beautifully furnished, superbly equipped and simply wonderful from start to finish. The heated lockers in the boot room were perfect for drying wet coats and boots overnight and when we had two young children this made a real difference! The added luxuries made this place somewhere we would book again without hesitation. Can’t wait to plan another visit!

Had a really great week, Rock Mill is perfectly placed no matter what you want to do or see in the Peak District. It has everything you need and more it’s clearly a newly built set of apartments and they are amazingly well furnished. The site also has some great extras, they really have thought of everything, boot / bike washes, secure bike storage but the real perk is the heated storage lockers to dry walking boots and coats. Can’t wait to plan our next trip!

Lovely cottage. Super clean and very comfortable. Lovely stay for myself and girls ages 9 and 15. Parking outside not guaranteed but lots of spaces on other streets or in car parks (small charges but we used for EV charging). So no problem for us.

Absolutely brilliant place, would love to stay again. Perfect location, very lovely inside, comfortable and luxurious. We loved the open fire and very much appreciated the bottle of wine. Thank you!

Hurdlow Grange was a breath of fresh air - literally! What a lovely location and lovely buildings. 26 of us (work team) stayed on the property and we had it exclusively for team activities, meetings and bonding! There is a games room and a downstairs pool table in the largest house. We had a BBQ next to the Sheep Shed meeting room in the evening. I would recommend for a corporate gathering or a gathering of friends/family for a special occasion for sure! Perhaps a Jacuzzi could be an idea?

Such a beautiful cottage in an amazing location. Details from every item in the kitchen, furnishings, bathrooms etc are all high end stunning. Lovely shower and bath, comfortable beds and towels. Ancient cottage with modern furnishings. Just beware of banging your head! Bakewell has loads of lovely places try the Chakra cafe, the Thornbridge brewery for beer and pizza and visit the Beeley Inn pub for walks and lunch.

Great cottage, very comfy and had everything we need. Host left a lovely welcome basket. Excellent base location for walks with classic Peak District scenery. Would recommend!

We booked the barn for a group of 10 for a birthday weekend. The accommodation was very clean tidy and spacious and the Kitchen was the social hub. Perfect location being a short walk to a good pub and would highly recommend staying there.

Lovely property with lots of great features. All the rooms are very spacious. Lots of storage, including fridges and freezers. The location is excellent for beautiful walks, good quality pub food and is very close to a train station. It has a well kitted out kitchen and bar area. The garden is large and not overlooked, with plenty of seating a good size bbq. Lots of toilets and bathrooms. Chris, the host, met us on arrival; he was friendly and informative. We will definitely be back.

We have stayed in several properties owned by the Peak Venues, all fantastic, but this one was spectacular! we had the space and the most beautiful views, with no one in sight, which is want we were looking for as part of this team event. everyone really enjoyed it and i could not praise this venue and the peak venues team enough! Thank you!

Rose Cottage is a great place to stay. Well equipped, comfortable with a large garden where you can follow the sun - morning and evening. We arrived to a very thoughtful welcome pack and Kate and Greg responded quickly when we needed help in the house.

All was as expected, great location the locals were all very friendly and helpful. 

We had a lovely break at Peak Venues. The cottage was lovely and perfect for our family. Location was brilliant to explore the Peak District and had some lovely walks nearby We would happily come back to this cottage again

We had the most amazing time at oak tree farm for my sisters hen do. The house is beautiful, so spacious and well equipped. The outside area was definitely used the most as we were blessed with amazing weather and the outside space is definitely what sold the house to us.

Really enjoyed the stay. Lovely scenery of Curbar Edge and had a great time looking out across the countryside. The villages were fabulous to explore. Overall a really good weekend.
