The following comments are taken straight from the guestbook we keep for Manifold Barns. Verbatim.
Manifold Barns was a fabulous place for our family get together. 24 of us aged from 80 to 6 enjoyed a 4 night stay. Great dining area for meals and fun activities! The kitchen is compact (for size of property) but was very well equipped. Games room was an added bonus. Beautiful ensuite rooms for everyone! The whole family loved the property and we would definitely consider it again for another holiday. Margaret and her colleagues were very helpful and welcoming. The whole house was spotless.
Everything was exactly as described, and our group had a great time.
Had an amazing weekend celebrating a 60th birthday with 20 of us staying. Great location with beautiful views. House was clean and well appointed. Plenty of room to eat, drink and be merry
We had a fabulous weekend and thought the venue was incredible - both in terms of the cleanliness, location and the decor.
The property was immaculately clean, the decor was fantastic and there was plenty of space to accommodate 21 of us. Margaret, the housekeeper, was helpful, informative and on hand for any queries we had. The kitchen area was spacious and had every utensil we needed. It's our second time using Peak Venues and both the service and properties have been first class on each occasion.
24 of us stayed at Manifold Barn for a family reunion over the Easter weekend. We used every bedroom and we found the whole accommodation so well equipt and extremely clean. For 24 of us we were never short of any kitchen items, cups, utensils etc. We had a brilliant time and would definitely stay again, the venue was fantastic, so well laid out and perfect for all ages. The communication with peak venues was faultless. They were prompt to respond to any queries and requests. Thank you Margaret for checking us in and out, you were fab.
Eighteen of us, friends rather than family, had a 3-day weekend at Manifold Barns. Everyone was bowled over by the accommodation and how lovely the bedrooms were. The dining table is huge, even when we separated part of it to put the breakfast things on, ready for people to help themselves. We had worried that there weren't enough seats in the lounge for us all but in fact we stayed mostly round the table chatting, doing a quiz and enjoying a few drinks. As a group, we go away each March/April and have done for a few years now, excluding the Covid years, and everyone said that Manifold Barns was absolutely the best.
Thank you. We had a wonderful celebration . Our second booking with you and even better!!
We had a fantastic stay , once again the house was superb
We all had a wonderful weekend and the venue was perfect for our special family celebration. Everyone from ages 5 to 73 loved it.
The communication with the housekeeper Margaret was phenomenal! The house exceeded our expectations and we had the best time ever.
Just to let you know we had a fantastic weekend. The barns were perfectly furnished, enough chairs around the table to feed 5,000 (!). Lovely location, perfect setting and privacy. Many thanks to Margaret and her team who were superb and thanks too to Peak Venues.
Hello, I would just like to thank you from all of us for the perfect house (Manifold Barns) we stayed in for our holidays. Everything was just perfect and we will be recommending you to everyone. We can not fault anything and thoroughly had a great holiday. Thanks again for everything.
Brilliant stay. Great facilities and very well equipped for a large group of people.
We had the best time at Manifold Barns. Everyone loved it. I would definitely book again, it was fab!
It was an excellent venue for my 70th birthday and we all enjoyed it
Hi. We had a wonderful family weekend thank you. One granddaughter missed it due to an air controller strike! But everyone else made it. I would comment that the small room with two bunks birds is very hot and airless, the main room is great but very echo prone so therefore very noisy and maybe a few more spot lights would be nice. The young people used the games room a lot but the lighting on the steps was not great in the dark. Torches on phones were essential. We used Sauced here, Natalie and the Black Swan…..all your recommendations and they were all great so thank you for those………Natalie’s food was great but I think we would have had sufficient if we had ordered for..say..18!! People went home with doggie bags! I hope your housekeepers were happy…Margaretwas most helpful.
Thank you for a great stay. Everyone had a very enjoyable and comfortable weekend at Manifold Barns.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the property was beautiful.
We had a really lovely stay at Manifold Barn, we've had so many positive comments from the group who all really enjoyed it. The space worked really well for us. And even the weather behaved!
I just wanted to leave a review to feedback on both the standard of the venue and the service. Both were excellent and the venue was fantastic for hosting a family birthday party. The rooms were of a good standard, nicely decorated and warm and cosy. The dining area was the main gathering room.......lots of space for eating and drinking and a very well equipped kitchen. All guests loved the location and the property- just perfect for the family gathering. Would highly recommend.....thanks. Linda
I want to take this opportunity to say how amazing Manifolds Barns is and that we all had a great time creating memories for our parents who were both 80 over the weekend and to share this time with their whole family is a memory that we will all treasure .
We had a fantastic stay thank you. What a lovely place.
Please pass on my thanks to the whole team – we had a fabulous weekend – venue was perfect, everything as expected and great service from you guys throughout. We also used Scoff for catering – and again very pleased. So overall couldn’t have been better ! Many thanks,

A beautiful example of an 18th century mansion, designed by the famous architect Robert Adam, Kedleston Hall was built for Sir Nathaniel Curzon in 1765 as a house to rival Chatsworth. Intended as 'a temple of the arts' and as the location for grand entertainments, the main house was never meant to be a family home, but a show palace in which to showcase the finest paintings, sculpture and furniture. The most spectacular example of this can be seen in Lord Curzon's Eastern Museum which is brimming full of a eclectic mix of treasures he amassed whilst Viceroy of India. Outside there is a variety of long and short walking routes, perfect for all the family (dogs included) around the Pleasure Grounds and park land to enjoy.
