Whether you have a wannabe chef in your group or just a bunch of enthusiastic amateurs, the kitchen is built to handle a crowd with ease. No more "too many cooks" scenarios here—just plenty of space. The kitchen is fully equipped with two double range cookers, plenty of food preparation space for large groups, a utility room leading off giving you further storage, washing machine, dishwashers and work surfaces. There is plenty of cookware, crockery and glassware for your stay.
The spacious dining area is great for early morning risers or evening get togethers as the solid oak tables can be easily rearranged to suit your group’s needs. Set alongside the bar it creates a fantastic social space.
With the original bar being in the heart of the property this communal space creates an unique aspect to any group stay. Complete with a couple of working pumps, bar stools and behind counter fridges it’s a fun and additional experience to enjoy.
Why not arrange a couple of kegs of local ale to be in situ ready for your arrival and to complete the stay, so you can pull your own pints and play land lord or lady, (please note you cannot supply your own beer for the pumps- please get in contact with the local brewery Whim Ales to arrange)
The Crewe Inn has a fabulous large lounge with a mixture of comfy chairs and squishy sofas, decorated with neutral colours and vibrant accessories, it’s a great space to come together to unwind after a busy day exploring the Peaks!
The bar offers further seating with bar stools, bunkettes, benches and chairs.
No pub would be without it’s games room, a dart board is featured in the bar and a small games room leads from the kitchen with junior table tennis table and table football ideal for keeping the young, and old, entertained.
A small courtyard offers a private seating and socialising space, equipped with picnic benches, and a brick built charcoal BBQ it is a perfect spot for those warm evenings to enjoy a lovingly pulled pint from your very own bar! A paved patio to the rear of the venue enjoys views towards the River Dove and there is also a small lawned garden for young children to let off a bit of steam.

If you wish to decorate the interior of the property, please use an adhesive that is suitable and won't leave marks on the walls or damage the paint when removed

The village of Longnor is positioned in the Staffordshire Moorlands between the River Dove to the East and the River Manifold to the West, making it an ideal location to see this stunning national park. You are just a stone’s throw from Chrome and Parkhouse Hill, famously known as The Dragon’s Back, and also featured in the hit TV services Peaky Blinders!
The Roaches, with Hen Cloud and Ramshaw Rocks provide an abundance of rock climbing, cycling and walking opportunities. Dove Dale with its renowned stepping stones and the Manifold Valley are both within easy reach.
The bustling village of Longnor has a popular fish and chip shop, tea room and local shop and you are only a 20 minutes drive to the market towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne. The ever popular Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Tissington Hall and Alton Towers are all within a half an hour drive.

From Buxton follow signs for A515 towards Ashbourne
Once on A515 follow for 2.9 miles
You will see a bookstore (High Peak book store) on your right hand side on the corner, turn right just before (B5053) (signposted to Longnor & Harpur Hill)
Follow the B5053 for 3.4 miles (you will go through Glutton Bridge on your way and then up a hill through a set of traffic lights)
On entering Longnor you will go past the fire station on your right hand side and then Longnor Primary School on your right
Continue forward past the rear of The Horse Shoe Inn on your right and The Crewe & Harpur Inn will be right in front of you (left hand side corner)
Continue forward past the side of The Crewe & Harpur Inn and the carpark entrance is to the rear of the property on your left hand side

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, Longnor - lovely village pub, in the heart of the wonderful Peak District, with beer garden, free parking, dogs being welcome and wheelchair accessibility. Great hearty menu choices and a separate Sunday menu. Just a short stroll through the village and the venue.
The Packhorse, Crowdecote - Located at the bottom of the bank just outside Longnor. There are well kept ales which change regularly and traditional home-made pub food.
The Bull’s Head, Monyash - A traditional pub located in the heart of Monyash, serving good pub food. Popular with families and walkers.

It is always best to check the websites for any seasonal opening times as some places do shut early or close over the winter months.
Known locally as The Dragon’s Back and used in a backdrop of the Peaky Blinders series this turf covered monster has been asleep for million of years, a wonderful 5.4 mile hike awaits. Chrome and Parkhouse are limestone reef knolls formed by ancient sea life, sponges and coral. Some parts are steep so may not be suitable for the less able of us but the walk offers uninterrupted views of this wonderful part of the Peak District. The walk starts from the nearby village of Earl Sterndale.
A popular place to visit year round, with the picturesque stepping stones, or just sit next to the River Dove with a picnic (please remember to take all litter back with you!) Following the River Dove and crossing the steps you can then climb to the top of Thorpe Cloud where you can witness panoramic views. Thorpe Cloud is an isolated limestone hill which has a 1.5mile circular walk which is quite steep so may not suit everyone.
Located just outside the mill town of Leek on the edge of the Peak District National Park, this Severn Trent reservoir is another great day out for all the family. There are two lovely walks around the reservoir, the shorter trail is only 1.5miles and is ideal for a gentle stroll and suitable for pushchairs. For bird watchers and wildlife lovers, there are two hides available to use. The fantastic large adventure play area is suitable for children between the ages of 2 and 15 years old. The large sand pit is especially popular so don't forget to bring your bucket and spade! You are very welcome to take your own picnic and there are plenty of idyllic spots for this, but you can also enjoy a barbecue in the new designated area.

No visit to the Peak District would be complete without visiting the fabulous Chatsworth Estate. There really is something to do for every member of the family - The Farmyard and Adventure playground, the magnificent house and the gardens which are equally as impressive as the house , with the maze, the garden trails, and the famous water cascade to keep the little ones occupied.

A short but very attractive walking/cycle route along the route of the former Leek & Manifold Light Railway. Look out for the impressive Thor’s Cave and interesting rock formations along the way and stop for lunch at the lovely National trust tea rooms at Wetton Mill, or take a picnic to have down by the river.
