Established in 2006, Peak Venues is a leading, independent accommodation letting agency, offering original and unique self catering holiday homes across the Peak District and Derbyshire. Peak Venues was brought into being by three lifelong friends. Having spent over 15 years working together running bars, restaurants and hotels worldwide, Justin, Paul & Rachel chose to put down roots and settle in the stunning Peak District National Park. Keen to share their love of the Peak District with the world, they embarked on their first cottage restoration project, Hurdlow Grange. A derelict farm with an abundance of redeeming features, this unique property now hosts 6 stylish and welcoming holiday cottages.
Shortly after the success of Hurdlow Grange followed the refurbishment of a distinctive and much loved old pub, The Crewe & Harpur Arms in Longnor. A favourite with the locals, they were keen to keep as much of the original pub charm as possible (including the bar!) while at the same time make a truly unique venue for large groups wanting to stay in the Peak District. As the reputation of Peak Venues grew for creating great group self-catering accommodation from quirky and unusual venues, so did the collection of properties and Peak Venues flourished. Today we host an eclectic portfolio of holiday venues from countryside boltholes perfect for two, family-friendly large holiday cottages, through to converted farm complexes such as one of our latest additions at Knockerdown Holiday Cottages which hosts a fabulous swimming pool and games room and also operates as a wedding and events venue.
Each holiday home in our collection is hand-selected by us and we only work alongside owners who share our vision, values and standards to ensure all our guests enjoy the most comfortable, stylish and unique properties in the Peak District. We are proud to have built up a trusted brand and a dedicated team made up of lovely locals all with backgrounds in tourism, hospitality, and marketing, and all of whom share one thing in common, their love of the Peak District. Our expert and friendly team are always on hand to help with any queries, we know that planning for a group getaway can sometimes be tricky, but we know our properties inside out and we also love to share our local knowledge with our guests. We can tell you all about the iconic locations not to miss, the favourite family outings, the hidden beauty spots and overlooked gems, where the best fish and chips are, and the quirky farmhouse serving epic Sunday roasts.
