Kitchen

The kitchen at The Beeches is the real heart of the home with a stunning handmade Smallbone kitchen by designer Mark Wilkinson. Natural light from the bifold doors floods the kitchen area and creates a wonderful light and spacious place to cook. The porcelain tiled floor, underfloor heating and impressive central island give a convivial space for everyone to gather and relax.

The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances; a large Aga dominates the room with 2 cooking chambers, 2 hobs and a warming plate, and has ample space to cook for all your guests. A Neff dishwasher, large double fridge with water purifier and ice machine, and pull out large freezer drawer, microwave and pantry cupboard for all your essentials to be stored.

Leading from the kitchen is a handy utility room with a stable door to outside - so ideal to come in this way and take off any muddy boots or dry down your muddy dog; it also includes a sink area and washing machine. In the main hub of the kitchen is a small table ideal for relaxed breakfasts for the early risers.

Dining Room

From the kitchen and up one wooden step is the impressive dining room featuring a natural stone fireplace, restored and refurbished from the original cottage that was on the site. It gives the space a real homely feel and with the added log burner, finished with warm lighting it is a beautiful space to gather your family and share a celebratory meal. There is dining for 10 and up to 14 with using the table from the kitchen. There is also a large wall-mounted flat-screen TV.

Living Room

With access from the dining area, down one step, or via the double doors next to the Games Room, you are greeted with a fabulous lounge with large windows which flood the room with an abundance of light. From here you can relax and take in the best views of the patio, garden area and the far reaching views across the valley. The French doors to the front also open out directly onto the patio so you can enjoy the summer sun from inside and out.

The lounge space features a large corner sofa that seats at least 6 comfortably with 3 additional leather chairs, the door in the corner loops you back around to the dining space. A natural stone built fireplace sits in between 2 large windows with working log burner which creates a warm and cosy atmosphere, perfect for those cooler months. The lounge also has a large wall-mounted flat-screen TV and surround sound speakers.

Next to the lounge is a games room with a pool table, an excellent place for the kids (and big kids) to hang out in the house. The french doors to the side lead out to the main lawn at the front of the house.

Garden and Outside Space

Located on Darley hillside, The Beeches offers amazing views and a perfect base to explore the Derbyshire Dales. As you enter the driveway to the property, you have space for parking about 10 cars in total in two designated areas. Leading from the parking area, you can access the main garden either by a ramp that twists down for easy access to one side of the house or via the steps down with a handrail on the opposite side to the patio area. There are two entrances to the property, the main entrance is the wooden door at the front, and there is also access via the bi-fold doors into the kitchen. The patio has a small table and 4 chairs and a lovely large seating area featuring rattan sofas, comfy cushions, and side tables.

This patio area flows around to the front of the property, where you can take in the beautiful far reaching views. Here you will find a stone patio with Chiminea, a large wooden table, chairs and a parasol that can seat 10 guests. There is a large flat lawn area, which is great for ball games, and this leads to smaller lawn areas, feature walls and raised beds - the steps are uneven towards the bottom of the garden, so please be careful. The whole garden is tiered, so please take care and do not leave small children unattended.
